Distinctive compound leaves which have lance shaped leaflets are held on multiple nonbranching stems. The whole plant has a very lacy appearance and upright form, growing 6-8 ft. Leaves coloring to crimson in fall. Blooms in early summer. Nandina is wonderful almost anywhere. It shows up well against light colored buildings and is good to use in a group of three or more as a corner foundation plant.
